the Advent wreath | I can't believe it's already the third Sunday of Advent. Christmas is coming! What a perfect season to remind me of the importance of waiting! As we wait for the birth of Jesus, I find myself waiting to return home. This Sunday's theme of joy is really helping me to change my perspective. I was feeling torn between wanting to stay and the anticipation of returning home. But, now I find myself taking in each moment with a new appreciation as I also look forward to seeing all of you again. With so much to do in a short amount of time, it is easy to feel lonely, stressed, and overwhelmed. Today I pray for all those who cannot seem to find joy during this season. |
Christmas is much more than the presents Santa brings because the real celebration is for Christ the King!

As you can tell, I've been thinking about you! I know some of you started at new schools and I hope things are going well. If you're in middle school or eighth grade now, the younger kids are really looking up to you. I'm sure you are being great role models for them! Did this post make you smile? I'm looking forward to making more great memories with all of you :)
